Roth - the popular and legendary triathlon long distance in Germany

Last weekend, 4,000 starters and up to 250,000 spectators met in Roth in central Franconia for the legendary Challenge Roth, the world’s largest long-distance triathlon over the Ironman distance. The athletes come from well over fifty countries around the globe to experience the famous race over 3.8 kilometres of swimming, 180 kilometres of cycling and 42 kilometres of running, which is booked out early each year.

As an enthusiastic triathlete, the competition in Roth was an absolute highlight of the season for me. Perfect weather, a great atmosphere and a highly motivated team accompanied me through the Roth-Challenge. With 10:43 hours our Collax relay reached the finish without any failures. We just missed Jan Frodeno’s new world record, but we are still more than satisfied. In the triathlon relay we shared the disciplines swimming, cycling and running.

Without failing to reach my goal - this is also the challenge in my daily work as a support engineer. Thanks to our Collax V-Bien high-availability solution, IT failures are intercepted and availability maintained - a perfect team here as well:)
